Over the past 13 years the company has become established as a key commercial supplier in the global quantum technology landscape. M Squared’s growth has been strongly associated with SolsTiS, an award-winning solid-state laser that is class-leading in atomic and molecular physics applications. As such, M Squared has been selling into and enabling the global QT community for tover a decade.
M Squared’s scale-up journey has been supported by a very open approach to collaboration that is deeply ingrained into their business model. A dedicated business unit has been involved in over 100 collaborative research projects, including several in the space sector. Having played a vital role in shaping the global QT landscape, M Squared Lasers is in a unique position to see the way the technology is advancing globally, making them ideally placed to drive commercialisation of QT. To this end, M Squared have undertaken a series of investments to go beyond laser provision and into quantum system integration, in the process realising a number of commercial breakthroughs. These include demonstrations of cold atom gravimetry and accelerometry as well as significant developments in optical lattice clocks and quantum information systems, with many features applicable to exploitation in the space sector.
