Workshop: Realization of quantum experiments in space
10 – 11 April 2018, Vienna (AT)
QTSpace will run the 2-day workshop “Realization of quantum experiments in space” on 10-11 April 2018 in Vienna. After the successful event at Bratislava which discussed the relevance of space for optomechanics based test of quantum mechanics, we will discuss the state of play in optomechanics technology for a possible realisation of interferometric or non-interferometric experiments in space. Funding available for QTSpace’s participation to the European Quantum Technology Community Meeting

The European Quantum Technology Community Meeting will take place on 19 April 2018 in Oberkochen (Germany), attached to ZEISS Symposium “Optics in the Quantum World”. The link to the meeting, with the agenda is:

QTSpace will chair a session on “QT in Space”, with the following objectives:
– Define the guidelines for a Report on QT in Space for the European Commission in view of FP9.
-Define the writing-team who is committed to work on this.
-Define the working-mode.

Funding will be given as reimbursement of expenses, according to the rules:
Travel: max 400 Eur
Accomodation: 120 Eur/night
Meals: 20 Eur/meal
All other COST rules apply, as usual. People will receive an official invitation from eCOST.
