Workshop on Quantum Computing for Earth Observation (EO)

ESRIN, the ESA Centre for Earth Observation, is organising a Φ-week event focusing on EO Open Science and FutureEO. It will host a mini workshop organized in collaboration with QTSpace, on quantum computing for EO.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is organising a Φ-week event focusing on EO Open Science and FutureEO – to review the latest developments in Open Science trends and kick-start innovative activities of the recently created Φ-department looking at FutureEO, and its associated Φ-lab aiming to identify, support and scale bold EO ideas. The event will be hosted in ESA-ESRIN in Frascati (Italy) from 12-16 November 2018.

On Thursday 15 November there will be a mini workshop organized in collaboration with QTSpace, on quantum computing for EO, and how that can help with applications related to data exploitation (AI, quantum machine learning, …). The session will last about 4 hours and speakers will give an overview of the field in an interactive atmosphere.
